My Favorite Song

I can't say really I have ever had a favorite song until now. There have been songs that I really like and are catchy. Few of them speak to my soul. The first time I heard this song, it reached down to the depths of my soul and took root. The song is I Need You To Love Me by Barlow Girl. I encourage you to click on the song title and listen to the song. I love it. My favorite line is "You're a God who has all things and still you want me".
Read the lyrics, listen to the song and let it minister to your soul.

"I Need You To Love Me"
Why, why are You still here with me
Didn't You see what I've done?
In my shame I want to run and hide myself
But it's here I see the truth
I don't deserve You

[Chorus:]
But I need You to love me, and I
I won't keep my heart from You this time
And I'll stop this pretending that I can
Somehow deserve what I already have
I need You to love me

I, I have wasted so much time
Pushing You away from me
I just never saw how You could cherish me
'Cause You're a God who has all things
And still You want me

Your love makes me forget what I have been
Your love makes me see who I really am
Your love makes me forget what I have been

I can't believe the "2010 Inland Empire Race for the Cure" is less than 3 months away. I'm probably even more excited this year than the previous two years. 'Team Peas" aka "Cal Fire San Diego" has joined forced with Cal Fire Riverside. We are now "Team Cal Fire for the Cure". The Riverside Sheriff team usually always raises the most money and has the most members. Maybe this year Team Cal Fire will beat Sheriff. There's always a battle of the badge going on between law enforcement and fire. It is all in fun and when it comes down to it, we are there for one reason and one reason only. If anyone wants to come out and walk with me and the team or donate to my walk/the teams walk,  click on the link at the bottom of the blog.

The team is not for Cal Fire employees only. We strongly encourage our friends and family to join in the walk with us. It is a 5k (3.1 miles). Not really a bad walk. I am looking forward to meeting new people, listening to their stories and seeing what team names people come up with this year. Here are some of my favorites so far:
"Save Second Base"
"Team Rah Rah for healthy Tatas'
"Breast Friends"
"Boob Busters"
"Healthy Headlights"
"Jeanna's Walkers for Knockers"
"Peek a Boobie"
