Then there's the garlic bread. Garlic bread and I have had a love-hate relationship since I was a kid: I was once in charge of watching the garlic bread in the broiler while my mom was in a different room. I remembered the garlic bread when I noticed smoke pouring out of the oven.
Fortunately there was no smoke involved this time around. There was ,however, black edges. Dark black, crumbly, non-perfect edges. Atleast the inside bread part was still edible. :)
Finally the salad.. I know! One would think "how can you possibly mess up a salad?!". Think of who you are dealing with though.. ME! Lettuce went well, radishes cooperated. Cucumbers? Not so much. I dropped one little piece which got a chuckle out of the boy standing next to me. Then I dropped an entire half on the floor. Nice! Then dressing was basically ranch dressing soup.. How does that happen when you follow the directions exactly? Its not hard. Powder from the packet, milk, mayo. That's what I get for not just buying a bottle of already made dressing!
With all that said, he ate it. Every bite he had on his plate (including the rock hard crust of the pizza).
I guess my bestie, Jessica, was right when she told me to just let the inner "Martha" go. I'm trying!
** Just a side note.. Here's a little shout out to Summer and Sarah to say HI. Thanks for making a Jess and Shannon Blog fan club! (just kidding)**
